North Cyprus is a place that has been a mystery for a lot of foreign visitors. Due to tensions between the Greeks and Turks, this part of the island was closed for a long time. But then in the last decade, the border has been opened to regular traffic amongst the Southern and Northern sides.
Now that tourism is getting promoted in the country, a wide range of accommodations becomes available throughout the island. There are a lot of places where to stay in North Cyprus and everyone can choose something for his taste and budget. 5-star hotels, resorts, bungalows, apartments, villas, and small family-run bread and breakfast style guesthouses open the doors to all types of vacationers.
Below I am providing you a list of the best hotels in North Cyprus as per my clients. Some of these properties I visited on my own. Others are hotels where my clients liked to stay and gave high ratings. So I decided to make this list and combine them together.

The first property I would love to start with is a five-star hotel Lord’s Palace Hotel Spa & Casino. It was built in 2016 in the English style and designed in such a way as to blend in with the atmosphere of this region, rich in historical events and cultural heritage.
Lord’s Palace Hotel is located in the city center of Kyrenia, just 15 minutes walk to the old famous promenade (Old Liman). It has its own sandy beach and rooms with the latest amenities for enhanced comfort and lifestyle. In fact, if you have been to Bodrum beaches in Turkey, you’ll see how the beach where this hotel is located looks very similar.
On the roof is a luxurious SKY Bar and on the ground, there are excellent restaurants and a spa. The hotel has all the style and comfort that makes it stand out among other Cyprus hotels. Most of the rooms offer stunning views of the sea, mountains, and the city.

A luxury 5-star hotel in the center of Kyrenia is a stone’s throw from the old harbor. If you are looking to spend your Kyrenia holidays in the city and your budget allows, choose this property. 3) Cratos Premium Hotel
Another luxury hotel which opened in 2010. Being located on the seafront, it is just a 5-minute drive from the center of Kyrenia.
On the grounds of the hotel, you’ll find a private beach and a huge pool with water from the sea. The spa offers a full range of services such as Bali style spa treatments, chocolate massage and 24-carat gold massage, weight loss programs, sauna and hammam, and fitness center. The hotel’s own patisserie offers fresh biscuits and pastries.
All rooms are contemporary in style and feature balconies and 32-inch flat-screen TVs.

4) Gillham Vineyard Hotel
The location of this five-star property is also fantastic. It is just 15 minutes away from the center of Girne.
However, keep in mind that Gillham Vineyard Hotel is an adult-only boutique hotel. Couples may choose the kind of suite that fits their choice and style from the range of 31 luxurious available suites.

5) Acapulco Resort & SPA
This five-star property, on the shores of the pristine Mediterranean Sea, is located just 20-minute away from Ercan Airport, 10-minute away from Kyrenia (Girne) and 60 minutes from Larnaca Airport. Being only 100 meters from Acapulco Beach, on a golden sandy stretch, the hotel has the biggest Pool and Water Park in North Cyprus.
By the way, a 1 km long beach nearby, is the hotel’s private beach. Entry into the water is smooth and shallow (which is undoubtedly convenient for little guests).
Centuries-old pine trees growing on the territory make the air not only clean but also very beneficial to health. The hotel is literally surrounded by greenery which is very uncommon for Cyprus.
Hotel Acapulco is a great property to choose from for families. In the daytime, animators work on the beach, offering various outdoor activities (volleyball, basketball), and there is a playground on the grounds. For an additional fee, you can rent a catamaran and kayaks, enjoy aerobics, live sports events, theme dinner party, movie nights, canoeing, billiard, and casino. You can also enjoy the services of a spa, a warm pool, and hot baths.

List of All-Inclusive Hotels in North Cyprus
6) Arkin Palm Beach Hotel
This relatively new hotel, built in 2011, is located on a picturesque coast in Famagusta, the city known as the second capital of tourism of Northern Cyprus. If you are planning to visit the eastern part of Southern Cyprus and go to places like Protaras, Cape Greco national park, and Ayia Napa but want to stay on a budget, this is a great property to choose.
The hotel is open for adults and children. A special design of the rooms in warm beige tones creates a feeling of comfort, and subtle touches of azure colors resemble the blue of the Mediterranean Sea.
In addition, there are several restaurants on site offering various cuisines. The hotel also offers individual boat and yacht tours.
As to me, the downside of staying in this hotel is the location. Since it is built next to the forbidden ghost part Varosha, being here brings strange feelings. Although some people may think that vacationing here is more like an adventure, others may think it’s a creepy place.
Board basis: Arkin Palm Beach hotel offers HB – breakfast and dinner, and BB – only breakfast included in your stay. However, you can request a full board in advance.

7) Merit Lefkosa Hotel & Casino
This stylish hotel, located in North Nicosia, is the first five-star hotel of Northern Cyprus’s capital. Decorated in warm colors, elegant decor and rich fabric, the hotel construction and interior has been inspired by Ottoman and Byzantine architecture.
The upper floors of this hotel offer a magnificent panoramic view of two parts of Nicosia – in Northern and Southern Cyprus. The rest of the hotel rooms offer views of the Kyrenia mountains. Besides that, Merit Lefkosa has one of the largest casinos on the island and specializes in business meetings and conferences.
For relaxation, the hotel has glass closed swimming pool and massage services. The fitness center and outdoor pool will work great for exercising and sports.

8) Merit Park Hotel & Casino
Merit Park Hotel & Casino is an all-inclusive 5-star hotel in Northern Cyprus that has its own pontoon beach. Nearby, there are beautiful sandy beaches that belong to the city.
The property is located near the village of Karaolanolu in the west of Kyrenia, just 6 km from the tourist center of the city. What’s interesting, the style of the building reminds of the Kyrenia fortress which in turn creates a unique setting.
At the hotel, you can enjoy SPA services as well as the sauna, Turkish hammam (separately for men and women) and an indoor heated pool. On top of that, from Monday to Wednesday from 10.00 to 12.00 in the SPA there are 50% discounts on all types of massages. Massage therapists who work in the spa come from Bali and Thailand, so you can expect to get the best Balinese or Thai massage.
The beach offers water activities and a diving center. Also, on site there are tennis courts.
The smallest guests of the hotel will have access to a children’s play club, a hall with slot machines, and a playground.

9) Merit Crystal Cove Hotel Casino & Spa
Being in one of the most beautiful bays in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Zephyros Cove, Merit Crystal Cove Hotel & Casino is located at the confluence of the green coast and the azure of the sea.

10) Limak Cyprus Delux Hotel
Limak Cyprus Deluxe Hotel is an ultra-all-inclusive luxury hotel in the North Cyprus Bafra area. It is a perfect four-season holiday destination located 25 kilometers from the city center, 65 kilometers from Ercan Airport and 40 kilometers from Famagusta.
The restaurants here offer all-inclusive finest Turkish dishes and other world cuisines. Therefore, you have access to snacks, food, and drinks throughout the day. Also, there is a night bar and disco for lovers of nightlife.
This hotel has different types of rooms. Some of them though, like two-level family rooms, do not have balconies but rather small windows that overlook the parking lot at the back of the building. So if the view and location are extra important for you, keep this fact in mind.

Merit Royal is a modern, relatively new hotel, opened in 2014. It is luxurious, one of the best hotels in Northern Cyprus, located in a great location on the coast. The entire property has stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and amazing service. Spotlessly clean rooms with balconies meet the international standards of a 5-star hotel.
Merit Royal is definitely a place for the most demanding tourists. Design, interior decoration, and a high level of service correspond to the name “Royal”. However! This all-inclusive beautiful North Cyprus hotel welcomes only adults.
It features a large outdoor pool with stunning panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea. This cozy, family-run hotel is located in the picturesque bay of the village of Alsancak, just a 15-minute drive from the old town of Kyrenia. Its own sandy beach is considered one of the best in the area of the city.

This family-run hotel, just a few minutes drive from the old harbor of Kyrenia, is located on the seafront. Being surrounded by lush gardens and away from the noise, it suits those who are looking for a quiet place with a friendly atmosphere and high-quality service.
There are only 20 rooms and a restaurant with a stunning setting. Rooms are basic but have everything you may need. A small private beach provides an opportunity to swim and sunbathe without leaving the hotel.

15) The Olive Tree Hotel
This cozy property, located in the Katalkoy district of Kyrenia, features an outdoor pool, a heated indoor pool, tennis court, gym, sauna, and concierge services. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas. A free shuttle service is available to the beach and Kyrenia city center.
