My Favorite 10 Cheap Hotels in Bukovel For Any Season

While Ukraine is definitely one of the cheapest countries in Europe, the Bukovel resort is one of the most expensive tourist destinations in this country. During the ski season in winter, prices for accommodation and activities increase two, three, often even four times. It can be difficult to find cheap hotels in Bukovel and have a reasonably priced vacation. Yet, it is possible.

Over the last year, knowing that I was going to return to Bukovel, I was compiling a list of different hotels where I’d possibly love to stay. I would find a cool property on Instagram or see my friends posting photos from their Bukovel vacation and then take note and put a checkmark on the map with a short description of why that particular hotel is a good place to stay.

Recently, when someone contacted me and asked if I could recommend a good place to stay in Bukovel on a budget, I decided to make this list and share my favorite cheap places where to stay in Bukovel.

My Top Cheap Hotels in Bukovel For Any Season

1. Villa Milli & Jon

I would like to start with the cheapest Bukovel hotel on this list – Villa “Milli & Jon”. It is located at an altitude of 920 m above sea level, just minutes from the main lifts.

The main advantage of this villa is its proximity to the center of Bukovel and the best slopes and lifts. Next to the hotel, you’ll find a convenient transport interchange and 5 minutes drive gets you right into the center.

Villa “Milli & Jon” offers cozy, comfortable rooms, equipped with everything you need for relaxation and productive (remote) work, as well as a restaurant that delights guests with European and Ukrainian home cooking.

I bookmarked it for myself as a good place where to stay in Bukovel on a budget and a place that also has a pool (outdoor and indoor) with a bathhouse and sauna. I also love the wooden interior inside all rooms. Take a look.

2. Family Eco-Friendly Hotel Krasna Polyana

Eco-friendly hotel “Krasna Polyana” is a perfect hotel to stay in Bukovel for families with kids. Although if you don’t have children, it is still one of the best hotels in that area for couples and singles. Mark and I stopped there for a meal on one November day and loved the food, beautiful landscape around, convenient location, and amount of entertainment activities so much that we just decided to return later for a stay.

Here, you pay not just for a room. The price includes a stay in one of the wooden cottages that feature traditional Gutsul interiors (some of them come with a fireplace), breakfast, parking (many other hotels charge for it), a shared outdoor heated swimming pool with gorgeous views, a relaxation area with a jacuzzi (Ukrainian traditional ‘chany’) and cold baths, and a lot of entertainment options, especially for children. Also, there is a pub-restaurant and multifunctional hall for banquets and conferences.

Kids, in particular, can spend their time in many different ways here. Animators pack every day with the maximum amount of developmental activities. So while parents are skiing or snowboarding, their children are busy playing games, watching cartoons, attending master classes, dancing, and just having fun. Oh, and many activities are available for adults too. So no one will be ever bored here.

Krasna Polyana hotel is located within 10 minutes drive from Bukovel ski resort. Yet, it comes as a benefit, not a disadvantage. The area is very beautiful and peaceful. There are a few walking trails nearby and Upside Down House.

3. Hotel ‘Beach’

Hotel ‘Beach’ is located in the same area where the eco-friendly family hotel ‘Krasna Polyana’. It has gorgeous views surrounding it and if you prefer a quiet peaceful vacation, you’ll surely find it here. Compared to the previous hotel on the list, this one is much cheaper, yet offers a high level of service and comfort.

This hotel-complex includes 18 comfortable one and two-room mini flats (for 45 people in total), as well as a restaurant with a fireplace in the center of the hall and many windows with a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains.

Additionally, you’ll find there a bar, picnic area with a spot for a barbeque, sauna, horseback riding (in warmer months), free parking, and wifi.

In summer, for example, the price per room for two people is around $25 only.

4. Hotel SkiLandHouse

Hotel ‘SkiLandHouse’ in Bukovel has many pros for all travelers for any season.

In winter, you will definitely feel the benefits of the first line and proximity to the ski lifts. For example, to the nearest Bukovel Lift 1R it is literally about 100 meters, and to the farthest Lift #16 it’s 2.5 km. From autumn to spring, this hotel offers a complex of bath procedures after an active day of recreation. And in summer, convenient infrastructure and transportation options make travel in the area more comfortable.

This hotel has its own brewery (with good beer) and restaurant, Finnish and Russian sauna, and beer spas to soak in beer. Rooms are very basic but always clean and have everything one needs for a comfortable stay.

Rate includes breakfast for two and a compliment at check-in in the form of herbal Carpathian tea or 0.5 liters of craft beer.

5. Hotel ‘Vedmezhyi Dvir’ (Bear House)

Here is my other favorite hotel which is on many lists of the best hotels in Bukovel. I discovered it through Instagram, through my friends who shared photos from their stay there.

My favorite part about this hotel is the location. While it is a bit farther from all the slopes and lifts, the property is surrounded by pine forests and nearby Prutets River. Being conveniently located near the road and still away from the central part of Palyanytsya, the location creates ideal conditions for relaxation and romantic getaways. The lovely atmosphere, hospitality, and friendliness of the staff contribute to the feeling of home comfort and coziness.

Bear House is a modern hotel complex consisting of 3 buildings. There are 26 comfortable rooms of different levels – standard, junior suite, and a regular suite. All rooms are decorated in light colors and feature modern wooden furniture. Rooms come with a satellite TV, private bathroom, free Wi-Fi, and great mountain views. Some rooms have a balcony.

The on-site restaurant serves dishes of Ukrainian cuisine. Also, the hotel offers ski equipment rental and storage space. The nearest ski lift to Bukovel is 5 km away, so this property suits better those who have a car. If you need to book a transfer from Polyanytsya bus station or Vorokhta railway station, the hotel’s staff can do it for you.

6. Whiteberry Hotel

Another relatively cheap hotel in Bukovel that sits high on my list is Whiteberry hotel. It is located in the village of Polyanytsya, 3 km from the 1R Ski Lift, and also has beautiful views of the mountains almost on all sides. I saved it for our possible stay based on stylish rooms and individual chalets, seasonal outdoor heated pool, and massage services.

The hotel rooms are standard and suites. For a family or company of friends, there are cottages. Rooms come with all amenities like a wardrobe, a flat-screen TV and private bathroom, central heating, a personal safe, and panoramic windows.

Another feature that I love is the pool. Whiteberry is one of a few hotels in Bukovel that has an outdoor pool with a sun terrace. Additionally, there is a sauna, bar, restaurant, children’s playground, swings, barbecue area, and bicycle rental. And a stay here comes at a very reasonable price. The Bukovel 2R Ski Lift is 4 km from the hotel while the Bukovel 7 Ski Lift is 4.1 km away.

7. Hotel ‘Pid Strihoyu’ (Under the Roof)

Hotel ‘Under the Roof’. Photo credit: Booking.

The main reason I check-marked this hotel (oh no, not hotel, they call their property a homestead) for our future stay is a nice outdoor heated pool and a beautiful location. Based on the reviews from different accommodation websites, rooms here are always clean, the service is good, and the food at the restaurant is fresh and delicious.

It seems it is a nice option in terms of price-quality ratio. Plus, if visiting during the warmer months, there is a lovely green area with a swimming pool. Additionally to stylish rooms and a pool, there is also a restaurant, bar, terrace, playground, and barbecue area.

From here it takes 20-30 minutes to walk to Lake Molodosti, Voda Club complex, Hutsul-Land ethno-park, or ski lifts.

The price includes breakfast, parking, and use of the pool.

Among all the hotels, this one is definitely not the cheapest Bukovel hotel. However, taking into consideration how much it offers, the price is very good. Karpatski Hotel & Spa is located only 300 meters from the ski lift. So if you come to ski, there is no need to use a car during the entire vacation.

The hotel offers a sauna, restaurant, shared lounge, and free Wi-Fi. There is a spa area where you can book various spa treatments and visit 2 types of saunas, a heated outdoor pool, a heated children’s pool, hot tub, multi-function shower, salt room, and gym. A spa, by the way, is included in the room price and is conveniently located, so guests can walk to it from their rooms in a bathrobe.

Rooms are decorated in warm colors and feature modern furniture. Each room has a flat-screen cable TV and a private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries.

9. Marion Spa

Marion SPA Hotel, as a 4-star hotel with spacious rooms and a beautiful spa and indoor pool, offers a very good price even in the winter during the busiest time of the year. The first time I saw this property on Instagram, I loved their pool with panoramic windows that offer a breathtaking view of the mountains.

After doing quick research, I found out that Marion Spa is a new hotel with a modern stylish design, big rooms with fantastic views, and ample parking (which is a very important thing to look for in hotels near the slopes since many of them don’t have enough parking slots).

300 meters from Marion Spa is the Ski Lift 1R and 1 km away is the Ski Lift 2R. All rooms are equipped with double beds, a flat-screen TV and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hotel is under 24-hour security and video surveillance. Besides parking, pool and spa, there is on-site ski storage and a restaurant. The restaurant serves traditional cuisine in a unique modern setting. There are also many shops, cafés, bars and restaurants near the hotel.

10. Chalet CrepDeChine

Hotel Chalet CrepDeChine. Photo credit: Booking.

Among all the cheap hotels in Bukovel, this one has the highest price. Yet, I wanted to include it on this list since it is one of the best places where to stay in the Bukovel area.

Chalet CrepDeChine is located in the heart of the resort, directly on ski slope #15. The comfortable one or two-bedroom rooms with high-quality furniture and a bathroom with shower, hairdryer, and free toiletries with mountain views are decorated in a country style.

This hotel has a restaurant serving local and European cuisine with beautiful views. Skiing is available at the door of the chalet. There is also ski storage nearby and free Wi-Fi.

Chalet CredDeChine is a wonderful place to relax after a hike in the mountains in the summertime or after a long day of skiing in winter. In the autumn and spring, there are fewer visitors to the restaurant.
